Surprise Baby Showers
I was recently asked to help organise a surprise baby shower by a fellow Mumtrepreneur!
Ruth from www.pinataspinatas.com had told me that she was hosting a surprise baby shower for her good friend Siobhan. Ruth had planned with Siobhan’s daughter, to gather all of Siobhan’s friends and family in one room to share in her excitement and give her a memorable day. As you know, I love everything to do with baby showers. BUT, I especially LOVE surprise ones so I was there with bells on!
The Baby Shower was held on April 6th in Kettles Country House Hotel in Swords and with 25 guests attending it was a big baby shower! When the guests started to arrive I could see it was going to be a great day. Everyone was so lovely and so excited for Siobhan. I had decorated the room in our Modern Chic range to compliment the colors of Ruth’s Stork Pinata that she made especially for Siobhan’s Baby Shower and it all looked brilliant. We were all set…..SURPRISE!
When the Mum to be arrived (under the false pretenses she was going for a meal with her husband Kevin). She looked fabulous and was greeted with lots of smiling faces delighted to see her and share in this special day.
Guests welcomed Siobhan and bump and then mingled amongst themselves. Food and refreshments were served and guests filled in predication and advice cards as a keep sake for the mum to be.
Everybody then enjoyed the beautiful cake that Siobhan’s sister had organised for the baby shower. Whilst watching Siobhan open her gifts (which by the way…had a very thoughtful theme). Ruth had asked each guest to bring a letter of the alphabet & after all the unwrapping was done. Siobhan was the proud owner of the complete alphabet to decorate her baby’s nursery wall. I thought this was a lovely & original idea and certainly one that I had not yet come across – so…well done Ruth!
Finally, It was a lovely afternoon spent with lovely people. And, I wish Siobhan all the very best for the next few weeks ahead. I’m looking forward to hearing the happy news.
