It’s Mocktails Time Again, Baby!

As Cyndi Lauper tells us, ”Girls just wanna have fun”, so therefore we feel compelled to think of all the yummy ways that the Mummy To Be can have fun too with some mocktails! Sharing is caring or so they say. 🙂 So, let me hear you say, It’s Mocktails Time Again, Baby!

Maybe some gentle dancing too, as practice does make perfect when she is going to teach baby some moves on the kitchen dance floor. 😉

M & M and Cookie Dough Milkshake

Did we say that a mocktail with M & M’s existed? Yes, we did. Just off to the shop here in the babyshower.ie office. We, er, need to buy some ingredients for the above recipe. You know, just to verify that it tastes delicious. 😉

For this mocktail, you will need:

2 scoops of Vanilla Ice-cream

2 Tablespoons Sugar Cookie Dough

1/4 Cup Whole Milk

Plain M & M’s

Whipped Cream

Method

-Blend your ice-cream, sugar cookie dough, whole milk and M & M’s in a blender or using a hand blender.

-Pour into a glass, top with delicious whipped cream and more M & M’s. You can never have too much!

Virgin Strawberry Orange Mimosa

Something lighter and perfect for some baby shower Sunday brunching, we think…Time to relax and dream of that beach 🙂 Ahhh.

You Will Need:

1 Cup of Orange Juice

1 1/2 Cups of Sugar

2 Cups of Strawberries

2 Cups of Water

16oz Club Soda

Method

-In a saucepan, cook  1/2 cup of sugar and orange juice down until it becomes a thick syrup. Keep aside.

-Get another saucepan, add 1 cup of sugar, water and strawberries until the strawberries have turned to mush.

-Using a strainer, strain all the strawberries until you are left with just the strawberry juice.

-Then using your champagne flutes or other drinkware, fill the orange juice 1/4 of the way up, add the strawberries until it is 3/4 way up the glass, then top glass up with Club Soda.

Verdict
