How To Organise A Baby Shower

How To Organise A Baby Shower?

Organising A Baby Shower?

Admittedly, there is some planning involved in organising a baby shower. So, here we are, as always happy to help. We love organising these events and seeing the results too. 😀 They always look amazing, so thank you for sharing your pictures and reviews with us. So, here’s how to organise a Baby Shower.

Is It A Surprise Or Not?

One of the most important decisions to make…if it is a surprise, you are all going to have to be careful and ensure that she is free on the particular date that you are thinking of. Mummy’s To be tend to have a lot of appointments. A good option here is to get one of her loved ones on board, such as her partner, mother or sister. Are you going to involve the Mum To Be in the planning?

Work, what work?!

How Many Attendees Will You Have?

Find out how many people-family and friends-will be joining the party, as this will be the deciding factor in how much food you need, venue, whether it is accessible for any attendees of the baby shower party, how much drinkware and tableware you will need. Is there anyone Mum to Be would like to invite, if she knows about it?

We have arrived for the party! Totally dressed up.

When Is It Happening?

Will the party be a day event or a night event? Also, do try to organise it at least four weeks before her due date.

Time to Party! 😀

Location, Location, Location.

Time to pick a venue and confirm. Normally the host has the party in her house, so the Mummy To Be can relax and not have any clean up after. Bliss for her! 🙂 However if the host does not have enough space or maybe it doesn’t make sense for people from a logistic point of view, why not treat the Mum To Be to a dinner at her favourite restaurant. Or maybe a spa day at her favourite hotel?

Simply bliss!

Invites

The Big Question- do you send e-cards or traditional invite in the post? Remember to include RSVP info. 😉

Adorable-It’s baby shower time, girls! 🙂

Themes & Decorations

So much choice-this is really something that would ideally be to the mum’s to be taste, whether she loves baby clothes decor, keep people guessing, or maybe a very stylish Vintage Chic. Add some nice favours for all of the guests. Oh, and don’t forget to check our other blogs as we have researched lots more cool themes such as this one for the Mum To Be who loves books, or this gorgeous Sweet As Can Bee theme. We love what we do clearly. 🙂

Pretty In Pink theme, anyone?

Did Someone Say FOOD?

Yes please. If you are hosting the event in your own home, you will need to think some more about what food to have. Remember, you can also create delicious food that co-ordinates with your theme. And don’t forget your mocktails! 🙂

Tropical Baby Shower, anyone? Pretend you are on holidays! 😉

Before we forget, add some cake to that list too. How can you have a party without cake? Shame! 😉

Cuteness Factor…100%

Gifts-To Bring Or Not To Bring

This is a lovely time to bring gifts for the Mum To Be, however some of them may prefer just your presence, in which case you can always bring something like nappies or bibs. Something symbolic which she can use. If you do bring a gift, it can be something practical or something sweet like a memory box. One of the best things about bringing gifts now is that she will have some time to sort through them and see what she can use straight away. Once baby is born, she will be very busy, and as a result, sometimes it can be hard to find time to sort through any gifts properly.

Is it Christmas already?! 🙂

Let Us Entertain You

Since some of the people at the baby shower may not know each other yet, it can be a lovely idea to use games as an ice breaker in those kind of circumstances. Let the laughter flow. The Mummy To Be could probably use some kind of distraction from all of those pregnancy aches and pains.

Measuring…who had the best guess?

Fun Times & Happy Memories

This day is for the Mummy To Be, but we know that she will love to see her friends and family having fun, and creating happy memories with her too. And remember what a sweet and supportive day you all gave her too. 🙂 She will treasure it.

Thanks to my friends and family for the company and uplifting moments.
