2017 Popular Baby Names

2017 Popular Baby Names

Expecting a new arrival next year? Naming your baby is one of the most important and hardest decisions you will ever make. When you have one picked, another one pops into your head. What if the name you choose doesn’t suit he/she when they arrive? Maybe you like a name but it reminds you of your ex or someone you no longer speak to?

To help you with this decision we suggest you do a few things before the big day. First of all, make a list of names you like. This can be as long as you wish as you will be narrowing it down later. To help with this list check online for some popular baby names. Maybe you already have some in mind from your favourite television show or movie? Once you have a list made, divide them into three separate lists; Yes, No and Maybe. Then throw out the No and Maybe lists. You want to make sure you love the name right? Finally, continue to look at this list until you come close to your due date. As you may change your mind several times, don’t decide too early. And remember, you will know when their tiny face looks up at you 🙂

Check out our list of 2017 Popular Baby Names to help you decide what to name your new bundle of joy.

Luckily we don’t see the names ‘Saint’ or ‘North’ on the list for 2017. Apologies to all the Kardashian fans out there! However, the Disney inspired names are still proving to be very popular at the moment. Ana will continue to be popular as long as kids watch the Frozen movie. No doubt this will continue all through 2017! We also love the name Aurora after Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Such a pretty and unique name.

It is great to see some Irish names on the list including Maeve, Orla and Bridget. Also on the list includes some traditional names such as William and Oliver. These names seem to appear on our list each year and it’s no wonder why.

So keep this list and tips in mind when making that big decision girls. And don’t forget, you can always just call it ‘baby’ for the first few weeks 😉
