5 Moments to Capture after Birth

5 Moments to Capture after Birth

The first days of your new little bundle of joy coming into the world is just a whirlwind of emotions and excitement. People coming to visit, you are getting used to the new structure, the nappies, the feeding and before you realise the first few days are all over too soon.

The best way to keep these priceless memories is to photograph them!

I have put together some tips and ideas for capturing those special few days and moments after your new born has arrived. To be honest any photo you get at this stage of your baby’s life is going to be precious. But these are my top 5 moments to make sure you are prepared.

The Bond:

Within seconds of the baby being born, they will be handed to the mother and curl up on the chest. This is the most beautiful moment as it captures the bond between a mother and child that has already began when the baby was in the womb.

Eyes Open:

The majority of babies open their eyes within the first 20 minutes after birth. Capture the moment they first lay eyes on the world.

Sibling Shot:

This is such a proud photo to capture and keep if you have any other children. Grab a picture of the siblings meeting for the time and show them enjoying their first moments together. This is a beautiful moment to capture and for the siblings to have for the rest of their lives.

Finger Grab:

The size difference between your baby’s finger and yours can make for a strong emotional picture that you will cherish for the rest of your lives. This is a simple but powerful picture.

Sleeping Beauty:

A sleeping baby can be peaceful to watch so why not capture this moment forever.

I hope this guide helps you to capture some amazing moments that will let you have some beautiful memories forever.

I would love to see some of your early day captures, send them in here 🙂 x
